Quella took the pup in the merciless desert of the outside lands. Barren sands for miles around. If heat did not get to you the scolding cold of the night would do it unless you were strong. Suddenly Quella stopped and looked to the young pup with a frown.
“Our leader is our life, our pack is out blood and our body the tool we use in which to protect all of this. To train the body is to have a stronger tool in which to protect our pack with and our lands. Everyone outside of the back, is trash. To be eaten or killed, and of course the most important thing to remember. “ Quella spoke with a flick of her tail and a shake of her starry printed pelt.
“You can only count on yourself. You are to run swift across the desert sands, I will be chasing you. Fall to fatigue and I will eat off your furry ass. Once the last rays of sun pass over the horizon. If I have not killed you, then we shall eat. “ She told the brat. A psychotic look gleaming in her eyes as her hackles rose and her fangs were dripping with hungry drool.
“ You got ten seconds. Run my princess of death.” She smirked as she snapped at the pups hind quarters.

Plasma followed Quella into the desert sand. Her paws dragged a little in the sinking ground, and it was hot. The first thing she noticed was the lack of trees. How could anything live here? Plasma frowned upon the desert, and promised herself that in the future the pack would capture miles and miles of forest and lush green land in exchange for this death trap. The pup stood at attention when Quella began explaining her task. As she went on, her little face turned slowly sour in despair and disgust. Though she was considerable stronger than she was a few days before and growing ever still, Plasma knew that this was near impossible. Was there a way to cheat? Or was she really supposed to be able to run until sundown without being caught and killed? She hadn't ever run a long distance before, and had not clue as to what to do to conserve energy. It was all a guessing game from here.
Plasma's body tensed as she thought of the consequences. Gods, that saying kept coming back to her: kill or be killed... When would it stop? Her mother must have been very wise. Whenever she had a free period of time, Plasma thought she would like to talk with her sometime.
Taking a deep breath, Plasma darted across the dessert, maturing body built like her mother's: swift and light. Though she was not running as fast as she could, the apprentice knew that once she had her life on the line, she would run in a completely different gear.

Quella’s pale eyes looked up to the skies of the desert as she raised her paw and counted upon it.
“ Teeeen, Niiiine, Eight…… Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnn…………… 321 TIME TO DIE!” She started her count but swiftly grew impatient. Skipping to one she was upon her paws. Not even bothering to run but taking a leisurely walk like a serial killer.
“ I’m coming for you~ my princess.” She sang sweetly upon the air. She had to admit to herself. Being a mentor was sure entertaining…..well at least for her it was. The pup though… well that might be another story.

Plasma squeezed her eyes shut as she heard her mentor calling. Her legs screamed to slow down, but her mind was in charge, a sickly fear growing throughout her body. She knew that Quella couldn't be a normal wolf. She went back to the words of her mother, remembering what she said about the wolf's true purpose. Plasma promised herself that she would one day know the answer.
Pushing onward, Plasma dashed across the desert, paws dragging a little in the dunes. The sun wasn't too far from the horizon, but time seemed to tick slowly as she carried on in hast, trying to get as far away from the near-psychotic wolf as she could.

Suddenly to keep the pup on her toes, Quella raced forward snapping at the pups rear. Keeping just short on purpose at this.
“ Step it up princess! That was a warning shot!” She screamed like a banshee in the night. She let loose a hunting call as if she was on the trail. Chasing the pup like she was nothing more then prey to her.
